Isophysis 🔍
The isophysis, also known as an isocline or an isodiamer, is a type of mineral crystal structure found in some minerals and isoschems within crystals, where adjacent atoms form a single plane perpendicular to the direction of rotation. It's characterized by two parallel planes (called isoblasts) that are aligned with each other but not coplanar.
