H14N8 is a type of influenza virus that causes Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV). It was first identified in 2015 and has since been linked to several cases of severe respiratory illness, including MERS-CoV pneumonia, which is now known as COVID-19.
