Eucosmogastra is a genus of fungi in the family Actinopogonaceae, commonly known as the hickory chestnut or oak chestnut. These fungi are characterized by their large, conical-shaped spores that can grow up to 10 centimeters (3.9 inches) long and produce an edible fruit called a "hickory nut" when mature.
