Catapiesis is a type of parasitic infection caused by the parasite Leishmania donovani, which infects the skin and organs of cats. It primarily affects young kittens and adults with weakened immune systems. Symptoms can include redness, itching, scaling, and sometimes ulcers on the skin, as well as fever and weight loss.
